BELGAUM: ‘Chak De India’. Unknown to the outside world, Aniket Chindak (6), a little daredevil had skated non-stop from the very start of the Twenty20 World Cup final match till its end.
Aniket skated for 3 hours 30 minutes at the Rotary Corporation Skating Ring, Goaves, during the match and won the hearts of the spectators.
During his performance, a big screen was installed at the same premises to watch the world cup match.
A big crowd had gathered to watch the little one’s feat cheering Indian team. The performing kid, the exciting match and the big crowd--it all had a ‘mera desh’ flavour. India won and the little skater halted.
The victory was celebrated with crackers and slogans.
Aniket’s parents distributed sweets to the gathering to mark the victory of India and their son, on the occasion.
Earlier, the boy had created a record by s k a t i n g under 51 vehicles in a record time of 45.31 seconds on February 2007.
Aniket, son of Ramesh and Jyoti Chindak, is studying in first standard in local school in Belgaum city and is being trained by S u h a s K a r e k a r a n d Suryakant Hindalgekar.
